MISSION FIRST'S VISION
All of the ministries of Mission First seek to meet physical, practical needs of people, and in so doing, to make the most of this opportunity for relationship, conversation, and sharing the love and truth of Christ.
Our ministry is based on the understanding that we will all face seasons and areas of need, and that we all will have the ability to give in some respect, so that when we willingly partner with one another in Christ we find that life is better together.
Lee Thigpen, Executive Director
We acknowledge that the coronavirus has brought about many changes in daily life. We want everyone to know that we are praying for all. We are thankful that no matter what happens, we have hope in Christ!
All areas of ministry will be open as of June 15th. In order to ensure everyone's safety, our programs will have modified and have limited capacities.
“He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” - Micah 6:8
Our ministry stands firmly against racism. Micah 6:8 is the Scripture verse we use as a vision for our Legal Aid clinic. It applies to all of our areas of ministry.
Our hope and prayer is that we will shine a light as we take steps toward racial reconciliation in our community neighborhoods, the city of Jackson, the state of Mississippi, and throughout our nation.
